Tourism and heritage based activities for children of Kaziranga National Park
Marking this occasion, we collaborated with Srimanta Sankardev School of Kohora Village near Kaziranga National Park of Assam, inviting twenty five students for an educational and fun trip to the historic town of Sivsagar. We chose the town as it defines the Assamese people, who trace their ancestry to the medieval Ahom Kingdom which had ruled the entire region for more than 600 years and had their capital at Sivsagar. Along with visiting monuments and museums where the children learnt about the their glorious history and heritage, the excursion also included discussions on environment and conversation. On left, our guide Swapan discussing a historical monument with the children. You can read more about this project in our blog here.
