dibrugarh - miao
Upon arrival at the Dibrugarh Airport, drive to Miao (4-5 hours) located where the Namdapha National Park starts. The drive will be scenic, crossing numerous tea plantations and the fertile countryside of Assam, and eventually entering the forested areas as we travel closer to the mountains. The evening will be at leisure by the fire. Your stay will be in Namdapha Jungle Camp with comfortable rooms.
miao - namdapha national park - miao
After breakfast, drive to nearby Deban (1 hour) thus officially entering the national park. You can get to see large groups of great hornbills in flight in this region. Deban is located right in the middle of the rainforest, giving you plenty of opportunities to be surrounded by astounding biodiversity of all kinds of birds, insects, animals, plants, trees, fungi, etc. The rest of the day will be at leisure where you can go on a hike inside the forest and learn about the jungle from your guide. Return to Miao for an evening at leisure. You can request a campfire.
miao - namsai - wakro
After breakfast, continue on a scenic drive to Wakro (4-5 hours), the orange county of the east. The mighty Lohit River enters the plains in this region. En route, you will visit the Golden Pagoda of Namsai and other interesting Theravada Buddhism monasteries and temples in the town of Chongkham. Visit Parsuramkund where the Lohit emerges from the mountains in a splendid turquoise color. The kund is a Hindu pilgrimage area with mythology dealing with Lord Parsuram. In the afternoon, if interested you can go for a walk to the villages of the Miju Mishmi tribe. Evening at leisure. You can request a campfire. Your stay will be at Wakro Eco Camp with clean simple rooms.
wakro - wallong
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Walong (5-6 hours), located by the Lohit River in Namti valley. It is a small military cantonment and administrative town in the remote Anjaw District. Walong is the homeland of the Meyor tribe of Tibet which has settled here for centuries. Walong was also an important battlefield during the 1962 Indo-China war. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the incredible views of the eastern Himalayas or visit the War Memorial of Indian soldiers. Evening at leisure. Your stay will be in a clean and simple homestay.
Wallong - dong - kibithu - wallong
A leisurely day to explore the valley. Visit Kibithu, the easternmost point of India. Go for a breathtaking hike to the highlands around Dong Village and also meet the villagers to learn more about their culture. Enjoy a bath in hot water springs. Evening at leisure with a campfire.

Before sunrise at twilight, you will leave on a short hike to a secret gorgeous place high in the mountains from where you will be able to see the first sunlight that enters the Indian subcontinent. Return to Walong after sunrise. After breakfast, you will leave for Roing (8-9 hours), a small town that serves as the doorway to the mysterious Mishmi Hills and is inhabited by the Idu Mishmi Tribe. The scenic drive will cross verdant foothills and the Lohit Viewpoint from where one can see panoramic views of the Assam valley. En route, you may visit Tezu if time permits, a small multi-cultural laidback town where you can walk in nearby villages of the Digaru Mishmi Tribe. There is also a Buddhist Monastery that can be visited in Tezu. Evening at leisure. You can request a bonfire.

After a relaxed breakfast, you will go on village visits to learn about the fascinating culture of the Idu Mishmi Tribe. Later visit the very interesting indigenous museum run by RIWATCH, an NGO committed to preserving indigenous knowledge of Arunachal Pradesh. You will also visit the local market and arts and craft shop. Spend the sunset at the beautiful Sally Lake. Evening at leisure. Bonfire can be requested.
roing - dibrugarh
After breakfast, leave for Dibrugarh Airport (3-4 hours) for your scheduled departure flight. Tour ends.
